FLOATING HEADS These images might have appeared in the sculpture gallery had they not demanded their own space. The inspiration for these sculptures comes from Oceanic and African masks. SCULPTURES Found object art or assemblage is much more than seeing or grouping familiar objects in new or unusual ways. It's about transforming those objects. If in the final arrangement the total piece works as art, then that transformation has the possibility of working in two ways—in the piece itself and within the viewer. LITTLE PAINTINGS For years, I have made little paintings, usually in the spaces between larger projects. Creating such paintings has always been a pleasure for me—partly meditation and partly an exercise in intimacy. Some are clearly reminiscent of the "unpainted pictures" of Emil Nolde.
